Not Achieving Their Full Potential In School

Many parents have really smart kids but they just have a hard time focusing, and getting their work done. As a result, their grades suffer. And often, their self-esteem goes down with their grades. If only they could learn to focus and pay attention...

They Crave Physical Activity - But They Just Aren't The "Team Sports" Type...

Does your kid love running around and exercising but just doesn't seem to fit into team sports? They're not alone. Many kids are like this. Team sports are not for everyone. Maybe they just haven't found the right sport to shine at yet. Martial arts could be just the thing to get them going and help them develop their natural, athletic abilities.

ADD, ADHD, And Over-All Rowdiness, (The "Can't Sit Still" Syndrome)

Some kids just can't sit still. They seem to have this inner-fire constantly burning and they just can't relax and take a deep breath. If only they could find a way to be calm their lives would change so much for the better.

Many people think medication is the only thing that can help but they don't feel comfortable with it. They want a natural, healthy way to help their child...

Issues With Bullies

It's never easy hearing your child talk about being picked on by a bully. You want to feel safe sending your child to school not on edge and worried about their well-being. Unfortunately, every school has a bully in some shape or form... But what if your child knew how to easily deal with them (in a non-violent way)

Frequently Asked Questions

A: As a parent, I'm sure you've seen that teens can get injured doing just about anything. Martial Arts is no different; however, we take safety very seriously here. Yes, injuries do happen sometimes. But we do everything in our power to avoid them. We do special warm-up exercises and stretches to make sure their body is limber and flexible.
A: Absolutely! Martial Arts teaches teens to be strong, coordinated, and flexible. Teens who don't have these qualities naturally develop them' and those who do grow them even more. Martial arts is often a 'home' for teens who don't excel at team sports. Kids who have trouble in baseball, basketball, soccer, etc. often come to martial arts and do extremely well.
A: You bet they are! We're dealing with teens here and if it's not fun, they won't want any part of it. We do a variety of fun drills and activities that challenge students and keep them interested and smiling with pride. We work hard here, but we also play hard.

My son has been going here for a year now. He loves to go for karate classes every time. He is very fond of the sparring gear sessions. All the instructors do a great job. I have done parent watch on a lot of classes. I see they focus on each and every student. i see a lot of improvement in his focus and confidence level. Their reward system of giving stars is another good thing that drives the kids.

My 6 yo started Hapkido ~3 months ago and the change I have seen in his behavior. He absolutely adores Sir Zach and Maam Kelsey. They have taught my son to be respectful, practice patience and self regulation. We are so glad we are a part of The Hapkido family. I cant wait for my second one to be old enough to join the clan!
