Hello! My name is RJ LoPresti, and I am one of the owners and head instructors of the Choe’s HapKiDo Martial Arts Cumming, Georgia location.
I’ve been doing martial arts since I was 6 years old, and being a Choe’s HapKiDo Instructor has always been more than just a hobby for me — it’s my life! From when I was a child just starting out on my HapKiDo journey, I knew there was so much more to Martial Arts than just punching and kicking. I loved the Power Rangers and Ninja Turtles growing up, they were a big influence in me starting martial arts, and watching those shows as a kid I enjoyed the morals and lessons in every episode. That is why being a Martial Arts Instructor at Choe’s HapKiDo just made sense to me. Our motto at Choe’s HapKiDo is “Changing the world, one Black Belt at a time,” and I feel that with each class, I am able to improve the world by teaching HapKiDo.
My favorite part of HapKiDo is definitely the people. I love getting to meet the wide range of people that walk through our doors. From kids to adults, people who are in shape to people who haven’t worked out in ages. Making a difference in the community in a way that is accessible to everyone is such an amazing thing to me! I am very grateful to Grandmaster Choe, Master Murphy and all the other amazing teachers and instructors I have had. They helped me take an activity that I loved and enjoyed and made it possible for me to share it with the world! My passion is making a difference, and HapKiDo allows me to work with anyone who is willing to improve their lives. It is very special and I am honored to be a part of the HapKiDo Family!

INSTRUCTOR ZACH VAUGHN
My name is Zach Doe Young Vaughn, and I’ve been a part of Choe’s HapKiDo Martial Arts in Cumming, Georgia since 2015. It’s safe to say that one of my favorite times was earning my black belt. It was a lifelong dream of mine, and it was well worth the venture. Now as an instructor, I am passionate about helping people achieve their goals.
A little bit more about me: One of my heroes growing up—and still is!—Bruce Lee. He inspired me to be brave, strong, and to always have an open mind.
It wasn’t until I came across Choe’s HapKiDo that I decided to dive into this long-time passion of martial arts. After a couple years of hard work and dedication, I achieved my childhood dream of earning my Black Belt, and I strive to bring that same passion out of any student who is willing to learn. Being a martial arts instructor is unfathomably rewarding. It has given me the opportunity to be that same hero to my students and to help others become bigger than their fears.
I look forward to one day meeting with you. I hope for the opportunity to help you unlock your true potential and to live the life you desire to live.
